History

Bangladesh is a nation known for its beautiful greenery, wildlife and friendly and diverse people. This country was built on the backs of passionate men and women, with some making the ultimate sacrifice in order for our great nation to become what it is today. Bengali men and women are strong willed, hard working and known to be friendly people. The national animal of Bangladesh is the Bengal Tiger, one of the biggest wild cats that can be found in the rich jungles of Bangladesh and is recognised for its fierce looks and sheer power. Bangladesh was made an official country and proudly declared its independence in 1971 thanks to Sheickh Mujibur Rahman, a freedom fighter and then Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
